Tous les hommes presque toujours s'imaginent was composed by Gil Roman to the music of John Zorn. What the gifted artistic director of the company has created to the music of the most important composer of contemporary American music is incomparable. There is incredible chemistry between the two, resulting in a ballet that pushes the boundaries of art.

With music by Igor Stravinsky, L'Oiseau de Feu by Maurice Béjart forms the second part of the program. At its premiere in 1970, the audience was literally shaken: Stravinski as a revolutionary musician broke with musical traditions. The rhythmic power thus formed is consolidated in the immortal Firebird.

Maurice Béjart's Boléro is danced to the eponymous as well as world-famous piece by Ravel and captivates with the intensity of the composition: a theme repeats itself tirelessly and gains in volume and force until the climax engulfs the sound and the melody.
